Titles task

Titles

Mars Attacks

This opening sequence is very different compared to the majority of other opening titles as the first title is the 'Warner brothers' logo to start but then goes straight into a clip and doesn't have another title for at least another minute.
The cast titles are continuous as the transition effects are something like a conveyor-belt and orbiting round on an axis. What is also different about the order of the titles is that the name of the film does not appear until the very last title.
The font of the text is basic white and not to bold however it looks somewhat 3D; the 'Mars Attack' title is a very bright, bold, luminous green which relates to the theme of the film as it is stereotypical to the colour of aliens.

Diamonds are Forever

The general theme to these titles is very sophisticated, classy and old school down to the genre of the film. The average length of time each title is on for is around 5 seconds, they are also evenly spaced out throughout the opening 3 minutes.
These titles are very simple and basic including the font and colour but in this case less is more and that completely matches the theme of the film; the bond girls shown in several titles link to the sophistication theme as they are in no way tacky or boring. There are several main actors names featured on separate titles.

The Parent Trap

This opening sequence is very jazzy and creative which gives the impression of an up-beat theme to the film, the variety of colours used in both the font and background can appeal to both genres and people of different ages which creates a target audience directed mainly at families.
The main actress' name is featured on a title before the the name of the film; another main actress also has her own title and then the rest of the cast appear in another title which has an effect on scrolling down through the list of names.
The little cupid animations in several of the titles imply the more childish theme to the film and bring a bit of life the names appearing in the titles as it looks as if they are presenting them to the audience.
