Analysis of film poster 'We're the Millers'
This poster has high-key lighting which suggests that the film will have a positive vibe and could be comical, the title 'WE'RE THE MILLERS' is in bright, yellow block capitals to stand out to the audience and grab their attention by this bold statement declaring who the characters are. The facial expressions of the characters are all different and contrast with each other as if they have been mixed up; the 'father' looks over enthusiastic to suggest that he is trying to get away with something. The 'mum' dresses like a typical mum however her posture and expression looks almost as if she is teasing the audience, the 'son' looks very dopey and nerdy and the 'daughter' appears annoyed and fed up suggesting she does not want to be near her so called 'family'. The bold, black arrows pointing to each of the character gives them each a label however the way they are dressed does not give that impression of them. The phrase under the title 'if anyone asks' again suggests that they are trying to get away with something meaning that the genre of the film could be comedy.
